Claire O’Dea graduated from WIT with a BA Honours Degree in Music having studied piano and flute. She has worked with WIT since 2001 and has taught piano, theory and also worked within the WIT Choral and Kidz Klub programmes.

Teaching since 1993, Claire has a 100% pass rate with all her students who have undertaken exams. Among her students, she has RIAM scholarship winners, Feis winners and her students have also performed at the New Ross Piano Festival.

In 2012 Claire and her brother Aaron, opened Let’s Make Music Academy of Music in Carlow where she teaches piano, flute, recorder, theory, LMM Kids, and Junior and Leaving Cert Music, covering all ages from beginners to Diploma level.

Claire provides piano accompaniments for students performing exams and in her spare time plays flute with Allegro, the Carlow/Kilkenny Community Orchestra.

Claire has worked with number of schools within Carlow and Kilkenny throughout her career teaching recorder in the classroom, conducting school choirs and orchestras and is also currently teaching for Music Generation Carlow.
