Lisa Lazenby graduated from CIT Cork School of Music with an honours degree in Music specialising in violin teaching in her final year and following that received an MA from St. Patricks College, Drumcondra. She has over 15 years experience teaching violin, viola and piano in the Kildare and Carlow area.
Lisa has also worked extensively in primary schools in County Kildare, teaching violin in groups in the classroom. She is also a keen conductor and has worked with youth orchestras and ensembles in Kildare.
As a performer, Lisa has played violin in the County Kildare Orchestra, The National Youth Orchestra of Ireland and the Cork School of Music Symphony Orchestra, performing in many of the major concert venues in Ireland. She is currently a member of the music group Highly Strung, who perform at weddings and concerts all over the country, and with whom she has performed in Aras an Uachtarain on two occasions for President Michael D. Higgins among others.
Lisa currently enjoys teaching violin and piano to children and adults of all levels and abilities.
